Green homes, eco homesTo protect the environment a lot these days, the concept of green home and green living has come into being. It is said that the green homes are much healthier compared to the normal homes. Now you must be wondering what a green home is. It is not a house which is green in color. A green home is a home which uses environment friendly ideas, materials and methods during construction.

Like most green houses have solar panels on the roof top thereby reducing the use of conventional energy sources. Thus there is little chance of major fire accidents or destruction of electrical equipments owing to the instability of the current.

Paints used in green homes are free from VOC. VOC or Volatile Organic Compounds are very harmful for the health of the people residing in the house. The paints containing VOC can cause immense diseases to the health of specially the kids and the old people. In a green home there is no fear of emission of VOC and thus no fear of health problems.
